This Guarantee is for 12 months from date of delivery. It is personal to the original purchaser with a proof of purchase.
We cover all defects in the materials & workmanship involved in the manufacture of your cover.
Unlike others, we also COVER THE COST of ESTABLISHING WHETHER FAILURE is down to the FAULT OF MATERIALS & WORKMANSHIP
Including, but not limited to; any fault which should be an 'Insured Risk'. Acts of Misuse, Abuse & Neglect. Some example of which are:-
Excessive or inappropriate use of chemicals and operating temperatures.
Damage to materials caused by dropping, dragging, scraping or puncture.
Core moisture absorption caused by damage to the vapour barrier.
Core breakage.
Damage caused to handles, securing straps & steam fingers (seal pads at each end of hinged point) by inappropriate usage.
Any damage caused by weight being placed on the cover.
Excessive weather conditions including winds, storms & Acts of God.
The supply of a loan cover if yours needs to be collected & returned under Guarantee or any consequential loss whatsoever associated with a cover.
Of course every Guarantee has to have Exclusions & Terms and Conditions, but Covers for Tubs does offer a significant difference in our Guarantee. Look at all our competitor's guarantees. The common factor is that if you try to claim on their Guarantee YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE for the COST OF RETURNING the COVER TO THEM. Shipping covers is VERY EXPENSIVE, packaging them is VERY DIFFICULT and to ship a WATER-LOGGED cover may be virtually impossible. Few carriers will actually transport items of this size and on enquiring 'as an individual' the average cost to ship a cover (within Mainland England & Wales) was £67.90 +VAT - one way. So you send your cover back to London for example and your supplier says that it doesn't qualify as a valid claim, so you pay to get it back! So that's a £150 you are out of pocket immediately.
We have a pre-defined system in place to deal with the very rare occasions that something gives cause for concern. We hasten to point out that in the last 12 months we have only had to visit 2 covers, both in the same week - both had stitching issues. We determined this fault was down to a tensioning fault on an industrial stitching machine - both covers were replaced under guarantee, at absolutely no cost to their owners.
If you have cause to claim under Our Guarantee; initially we will ask for photographic information/evidence via email. If we cannot rely on this to make a decision:-
If the claim relates to the outer cover 'the skin' - we will send our carrier to collect your skin at our expense, for inspection.**
If the claim relates to the inner cover 'the insulation/encapsulation' a factory representative will visit your home within 28 days (GENERALLY MUCH SOONER) to inspect the cover to base our decision on.**
If the fault is covered by the guarantee we will either replace or repair the cover at our discretion. You will not be responsible for any costs whatsoever, including any inspection visit, or the collection and return of your cover**
If the fault proves to be of a nature which is not covered by our guarantee, you will be charged a flat fee of £19.50 for the combined collection and return of your skin OR in the case of 'inner cover' issues, the inspection visit made by the factory representative.
** These policies are only applicable to MAINLAND England & Wales and in part to most of Scotland & Northern Ireland. 'Skins only' are collected FOC from SCOTLAND (Other than areas deemed by carriers to be Highlands will incur a £12 charge for a skin collection and the same for a return - regardless of fault).
Offshore locations being part of the UK are responsible for the return of items at their own cost. Items supplied outside of the UK only have a 'Skin' Guarantee, the 'inner cover' is not included in the Guarantee.
Your statutory rights are not affected by anything contained herein.
